Senior Architect

Job Summary:
Our development company is seeking a highly experienced Senior Architect with expertise in architectural residential projects and in-depth knowledge of licensing laws in Greece. The ideal candidate will have over a decade of experience in the field and be able to manage all aspects of the design and construction process for residential projects. This includes overseeing the creation of design plans, obtaining necessary permits, coordinating with contractors and subcontractors, and ensuring compliance with all applicable laws and regulations. The Senior Architect will also be responsible for managing and mentoring junior architects on the team.

Responsibilities:
 Oversee all aspects of the design and construction process for residential projects, from concept to completion.
 Create and manage project budgets and timelines.
 Obtain all necessary permits and approvals from local authorities.
 Coordinate with contractors, subcontractors, and other stakeholders to ensure successful project execution.
 Ensure compliance with all relevant laws, regulations, and building codes.
 Manage and mentor junior architects on the team.
 Incorporate sustainable design practices into residential projects and make informed decisions about the use of materials and building systems.
 Stay up to date on emerging technologies and design approaches in residential architecture.
 Identify and address potential issues before they become major problems.
 Demonstrate creativity and expertise through a portfolio of successful residential projects.
 Manage large-scale projects with complex design requirements and multiple stakeholders.
 Communicate effectively in both Greek and English, with strong written and verbal communication skills in both languages.
 Work collaboratively with interdisciplinary teams that may include engineers, landscape architects, interior designers, and other professionals.
 Maintain a high level of professionalism, meeting deadlines, delivering high-quality work, and maintaining positive relationships with clients and stakeholders.

Requirements:
 Bachelor’s or master’s degree in architecture.
 10+ years of experience in architectural residential projects.
 In-depth knowledge of licensing laws in Greece.
 Expertise in design software applications such as AutoCAD, SketchUp, and Revit.
 Excellent communication and leadership skills, with the ability to manage and mentor junior architects on the team.

 Fluency in both Greek and English, with strong written and verbal communication skills in both languages.
 Experience working with sustainable design practices and incorporating them into residential projects.
 Familiarity with a range of materials and building systems and the ability to make informed decisions about their use based on factors such as cost, durability, and environmental impact.

Self-motivated and proactive: An experienced interior designer should be self-motivated and able to work independently, taking ownership of their work and seeing projects through from start to finish. They should also be proactive in seeking out new design opportunities and staying up to date with industry trends and best practices.
