Project Architect

Immediate full-time permanent position. A U.S.-based company with a recently established office in Athens, Greece is seeking a Project Architect. Fabrication Designs is a manufacturer of specialized building façade systems for use in high security building applications such as U.S. Embassy Facilities worldwide. As the manufacturer of these systems, Fabrication Designs is responsible for the development of working drawings to coordinate all elements of the façade, including the glass, the doors, the steel framing that supports these elements, and tangentially the architectural metal trim, cladding, and waterproofing.

While the project work itself is predominately limited to our office location in Athens, our project work is worldwide and it currently includes projects in Mexico, Spain, Italy, Mali, Saudi Arabia, Lebanon, Bahamas, Brazil, and France to name a few.

The ideal candidate will be able to multi-task effectively in a very fast-paced work environment. Daily tasks will include the development and coordination of drawings for window and door systems. Work will include the development of hands-on AutoCAD drawings, coordination of product drawings with architectural design drawings, coordination with our in-house engineering staff, material submittals for items such as finishes, door hardware, and architectural trim.

Experience or understanding of the construction or manufacturing industry is a plus.

Qualifications
• Degree in Architecture or Architectural Engineering
• 5 – 10 years related experience
• Proficiency in AutoCAD Excellent problem solving skills
• Strong technical expertise related to design and construction
• 3D background skills is a plus
