Technical Architect

K-Studio is seeking an Architect for the position of Technical Architect.  We are looking for a talented and motivated individual who is proactive, well-organized and meticulous. The ideal candidates should have a passion for creative architectural detailing, have great communication and leadership skills and advanced knowledge of detailed technical design, construction methods.

Requirements:

• 5 year Architectural Engineering degree or equivalent
• Masters degree or other post graduate degree relevant to position highly preferred
• 4+ years professional experience
• Experience in technical design including architecture and interiors
• Experience in preparation of tender packages (drawings, schedules & specifications)
• Very good knowledge of planning regulations (NOK)
• Experience in construction supervision with an understanding of common practices and standards
• Excellent knowledge of Archicad
• Excellent knowledge of the English language (oral & written)
• Studio-based position

Key areas of responsibility:

• Overseeing the production of Construction Documents
• Reviewing and preparation of details and material specifications ensuring technical excellence throughout the practice
• On site presence ensuring the implementation of high design quality standards per specific project needs
• Liaising with external consultants e.g. structural and civil/mechanical engineers
• Coordination with external sub-consultants as per specific project needs
• Providing vital link between the Design and Construction teams – offering technical advice when required
• Representing the Company at external meetings as decided by the management in pursuit of Company objectives
