FF&E Designer

K-Studio is seeking an FF&E Designer to join its team in Athens. We are looking for a creative and forward-thinking individual with expertise in interior and/or product design. Ideal candidates should have a passion for innovative interior design with experience in product design. Experience working in the hospitality and residential sectors is a plus.

We are a creative studio of architects and interior designers based in central Athens. Over the years we have grown and evolved into a dynamic team of talented creatives that share a passion for authentic and holistic design, along with a united goal to grow and learn at every opportunity.

As we continue to accumulate experience, expanding our knowledge and understanding across larger scales and a wider variety of typologies, it’s vital that this growth in our design abilities also translates into a more effective structure and a more harmonious flow in the daily life of the studio.

Requirements:

• Bachelor’s Degree in Architecture, Interior Design or Product Design
• Minimum 4 years professional experience in Interiors or Architecture
• Good knowledge of contemporary high-end FF&E & OS&E market and fabrics
• Experience in Hospitality
• Experience in bespoke product design e.g. joinery, custom loose furniture (from concept to delivery)
• Excellent knowledge of Rhino 2D|3D v. 6.0 or later
• Experience in Grasshopper and/or Subd modeling is a plus
• Excellent knowledge of the English language (oral & written)
• Excellent Microsoft Office skills
• Experience in FF&E sourcing & procurement is a plus
• In studio position

Key Areas of Responsibility:

• Assisting the design team with specific research requests on furniture, lighting and decorative objects
• Designing bespoke furniture pieces, lighting and decorative objects
• Overseeing the production of mockups and samples
• Consolidating, organizing and expanding the studio’s FF&E database with new suppliers
• Liaising with suppliers: requesting quotes and samples & confirming specifications
• Assisting with project installations, including the planning and styling of photoshoots
